OM: Contains the words and symbols of all the Lord and Divine Mother aspects and of the Absolute, which imbues every existence.  
 
NAMAH SHIVAY: symbolizes the five elements which compose the creation: water, air, fire, earth and ether.  Om Namah Shivay is a medication for the spirit - it is the water which purifies the heart.  Chanting Om Namah Shiva helps to channel all the energy flowing through our body.
